Skoda Enyaq: India’s First Electric SUV from Skoda Expected by End of 2024

Overview

The Skoda Enyaq prices are expected to range between Rs. 50.00 Lakh – Rs. 55.00 Lakh, depending on the variant selected. The Skoda Enyaq is expected to be launch in the End of 2024. Skoda’s first electric car for India is based on Volkswagen Group’s MEB born-electric platform. Internationally, it is offered in multiple powertrain and battery options and there’s also a performance-oriented RS version.

Features of Skoda Enyaq:

The Skoda Enyaq comes with a 13-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment display, digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, a two-spoke steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof, powered driver’s seat with massage function, three-zone climate control, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a wireless charger, and other features.

The electric crossover is offered in five variants in the international market: 50, 60, 80, 80X, and vRS.
Battery and Range: The Enyaq iV is offered in three battery pack options:
· 52 kWh RWD single motor (148 PS/220 Nm), offers a claimed range of 340 km
· 58 kWh RWD single motor (179 PS/310 Nm), offers a claimed range of 390 km
· 77 kWh RWD/AWD single/double motor (up to 306 PS/up to 460 Nm), offers a claimed range of up to 510 km

Charging:

A 125 kW DC fast charger: 38 minutes (5 to 80 percent)

Safety:

Safety features include nine airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), a Tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a 360-degree camera, and ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems) tech like lane keep assist, blind spot detection, and adaptive cruise control.

Performance:

The Skoda Enyaq is built on the MEB modular electric car platform developed by the Volkswagen Group. It is available with three different battery pack options in the international market: 52kWh, 58kWh, and 77kWh. The smaller battery pack options are only available with rear-wheel drive drivetrain, whereas the larger 77kWh battery pack option comes with both RWD and AWD. According to the WLTP cycle, the maximum range is approximately 500km on a full charge.
