MG has confirmed the name for its upcoming electric car in India, and it will also known as the Windsor EV.
It’s an initiative taken to honor the Medalists from India in Olympic Games 2024.
The MG Windsor will be the brand’s third EV for India, sitting between the entry level Comet and the larger ZS EV. It is a spacious, five-seat MPV with a lounge-like interior and the latest tech MG has to offer. Its 50.6kWh battery offers up a claimed range of 460km, and its electric motor is expected to produce around 163hp

Battery Pack, Electric Motor and Range
The Windsor EV is expected to be powered by a 50.6 kWh battery pack that will feed power to a single electric motor rated at (136 PS/200 Nm). The China Light Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC) claimed an expected range of 460 km for this EV, but in India it will likely come with a revised claimed range.
Charging:
DC charger: 30 minutes (30-100%)
AC charger: 7 hours (20-100%)
Features
In the international market, it gets features like a 15.6-inch free floating infotainment system, an 8.8-inch digital driver’s display, powered driver seat, automatic AC with rear vents, and a wireless phone charger.
Safety
In terms of safety, the India-spec model is expected to get 6 airbags (as opposed to 4 seen on the international model), electronic stability control (ESC), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), electronic parking brake, and a 360-degree camera. MG could also equip it with some advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) features like adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and autonomous emergency braking.
