Hyundai Ioniq 6 EV: Redefining Electric Elegance with Innovation

Hyundai Ioniq 6 EV could be launched by April 2025. An expected starting price of Rs 65 lakhs.

Inside the Ioniq 6 you’ll see a 12.3-inch dual-integrated screen setup, connected car tech, an eight-speaker sound system by Bose with a subwoofer, and ambient lighting, heads-up display and a wireless phone charger. Compared to the Ioniq 5, the Ioniq 6 gets a more driver-centric positioning. It also has a few more driver-focused touches like the ‘EV Performance tune-up’, which allows the driver to specify multiple drive mode configurations for different situations. Keeping sustainability in mind, the Ioniq 6’s interior is trimmed in a variety of eco-friendly materials like flax-seed-dyed artificial leather.

Battery Pack and Range

The Ioniq 6 only comes with the bigger battery pack: 77.4kWh, which is available with a single motor in a two-wheel-drivetrain. This setup churns out 228PS and 350Nm and has a WLTP-claimed range of over 610km.
The Ioniq 6 with the dual-motor set-up makes 320hp and 605Nm, the same as the Ioniq 5, while the RWD set-up churns out 228hp and 350Nm.
When it comes to the WLTP-certified range, the Ioniq 6 gets up to 429km for the RWD 53kWh version, up to 614km for the 77.4kWh version and up to 583km for the AWD variant.

Safety

In terms of passenger safety, it has seven airbags and a full suite of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) functionalities including lane keep and departure assist, forward collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert and adaptive cruise control.
